Lovely converted old building with period features and high ceilings. Decent continental breakfast. Staff spoke good English and were helpful providing guidance on travel. New hotel with modern decor and well- finished fixtures and fittings. Kept clean in and out of the bedroom. About 25mins walk to the Duomo, or 5-10 mins on the no.17 Bus (goes to San Marco square - near the Duomo as well as to/from the main train station - S.mn). Good value compared to the rest of Florence.
Location a bit further out than ideal, but still easily walkable for most people and a regular bus service (no.17) runs to/from just outside the hotel to San Marco Square and to Santa Maria Novella Station. The hotel is a tad difficult to find, with no signs outside, just the hotel name written on the buzzer, which isn't ideal. Look at the picture of the hotel on the website and try to find that building - it's unlike most other buildings on the road it's located on.

Very well designed rooms, lobby and breakfast room; friendly family-run business in a not so old Florence "palazzo" away from the maddening tourist crowds; close to sports facilities (stadium, pools...) and good restaurants and "gelaterie"; close to historic points of interests and train station direct by bus
The design, rooms with high ceilings and friendly young staff

I liked its good and comfortable location!
The hotel was fairly clean and offered fair prices. The room was beautifully designed and complete with free coffee/tea, the garden, snacks, I had everything needed. All staff were superfriendly and incredibly nice and gave some tips about Florence.

The staff were very helpful and informative about the area. The room was a good size and clean and comfortable. The building was nicely decorated and secure.
The location is a bus or short train ride (either about 10 mins) from Florence

The rooms were very nice: good working air-conditioning, enough space and beautiful old design (we loved the ceiling)! The staff are very friendly and well willing to help. In less than half an hour you can walk to the historical city (we did that every day). Worthwhile a visit!
The hotel stays next to a main road, so sometimes it was a little bit noisy (but from experience we know Firenze is always a bit noisy; no matter were you stay)..

The hotel is set in a nice area and is a short walk to where you can buy tickets, the old town, and the Firenze Campo Marte train station. the room was extremely spacious with 19th-century decor that I enjoyed. It was nice to have complimentary wireless internet and tea/coffee.

The location was good, close to the Vatican and Metro stop. That's about all I have for the positives....
Rooms were small. Air-Condition didn't work (85f outside) and sweat box on the inside without air. Hotel staff didn't speak English. Mold was in the bathrooms and the rooms were pretty beat up. When I tried to get a discount for the night I had to sleep with a wet towel on me because we didn't have air, I was told it would be fixed for the next night... Guess what it wasn't and no discount was given because the person on duty couldn't speak english nor would he contact the manager.
